During my PhD, I worked 2 years as a Graduate Assistant - Non-teaching (GANT). My primary roles were to manage the departmental website and social media accounts, as well as to write news articles (total of 25 articles) for public audience, highlighting department's research and outreach activities. In addition, I designed and created the first Texas A&M Oceanography's spotlight on undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni.

Oceanography Departmental Representative
2017 - 2018 | Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC), Texas A&M University

For 5 academic semesters, I volunteered as the GPSC departmental representative (Oceanography). I attended the GPSC meeting biweekly, and delivered the GPSC meeting's agenda to the Oceanography Graduate Council (OGC).

2011 - 2013 | Summer Ocean Camp, Research Institute of Oceanography, Seoul National University      

The Summer Ocean Camp was designed to introduce young students (K5 to K8 grades) to the ocean and spark their interest in ocean science. During a week-long program, students learned skin diving on the beach, visited local communities and museums, and attended ocean-related lectures from invited professors in Oceanography.

My responsibilities included planning and organizing the entire camp schedule, providing day-to-day training, and ensuring the safety of all participants.
